Couldn't put my tag back on since I now have an SVO girdle on my 8.8. This is off of my 2003 Ranger Edge 2WD 3.0L with the 5R44E

Woo hoo! Code R7. I really lucked out with this truck man. I got the 4.0L SOHC engine and the limited-slip 8.8" rear with 4.10 gears. Awesome.

I was wondering if anyone knows how many splines I have. The sticker on my door gam says my axel code is 97 and on my differential the stamp is
V330V
4 10 88 5L04

Thanks

Gears

I am going to be running 35's and I think I am going to regear to 4.88's right now i have 4.10's but I was wondering if I regear with that will it bring me back to stock power or will I get an increase in power?

Thanks

if you change tire size to a larger tire, then when you regear, it will get you back to stock...

I havent found a solid answer anyplace so I'll ask it here, I have a 2003 4.0L edge w/4.10 open diff, and am on the hunt for a limited slip/locker. What spline would this axle be? I have seen both 28 and 31 on many sites for this axle. Has anyone had any problems with a Powertrax lock-right locker?

you have a 28 spline axle.....the ONLY Rangers that came with a 31 spline were the '02 FX4's and the '03+ FX4 Level II's........
