For those of you that have had to replace your cv's. What brand do you recommend and where did you get them?

I just went to the JY to get a used one. About half the cost of new and they have a lifetime garentee. They only take about an hour to get in and out so, im not too worried about replacing them if they fail.

When you goto get it ask for one out of a newer ranger with the same axle (28 or 31 spline), its the same shaft and the newer it is the more likely it is to have less miles.

I bought my f150 ones at Advance Auto. They have lifetime warranty brand new shafts for the same price and most of the other guys rebuilt shafts.

If you get thek from advance, make sure to order on their online website and use a discount code fom retailmenot.com. it will save you 15-20 bucks. I always do this when ordering.from advance. Order nline, pickup in store as soon as ur done ordering.

I will say this about advance. i am very disapointed with there parts. i have replaced the ball joints on my truck 6 months ago and i already need new upper ball joints and i have driven a company truck for a good 3 of the last 6 months. my g.fs 04 explorer i replaced the rear wheel bearings about 9 months ago. i put a new driver side in 3 weeks ago and it has play in it already.

i have been asking around and i keep hearing things like that from advance so i wont be buying parts from them unless no one else has them
