Bleeding clutch regularly
Bleeding clutch regularly
Ive been having an issue with needing to bleed my clutch on a regular basis. Its usually the worst first thing in the morning, especially when i try to put my truck into reverse. It grinds real bad and I have to muscle it into gear. same with the rest of them. As i drive throughout the day, it may or may not start shifting better. when the problem started, i had to bleed my clutch maybe once every 3 weeks or so. But now i have to do it every couple of days. Not sure if im getting an air leak somewhere. can anyone help or maybe point me in the right direction?
Slave or master cylider is leaking. Won't always see the leak either. I was adding fluid for a good 2-3 months, then while dropping the housing to do the slave I found where it had been going when it all dumped out!
I had those exact symptoms, I replaced the master and that fixed it. There was also a very noticeable pedal squeek coming from the master cyl area.
I would bleed it every couple of days. I always had my 8mm on stand by. lol.
