clutch slave cylinder
clutch slave cylinder
I have a 1990 ford ranger with the 2.9 and the mazda m50d1 manual tranny. THe clutch stopped working and I assumed the slave cylinder went out. I pulled the tranny, put in a new slave cylinder, reinstalled the tranny, and bled it like crazy and it still didn't work so I assumed the master cylinder was bad as well, well i just replaced the master, bled the system, and the clutch won't disengage, the master cylinder plunger is pretty soft. Any suggestions? I don't wanna pull the tranny again to see if somehow the slave cylinder is messed up, even though it's brand new. Anyways thanks for your time with any of your answers or suggestions.

Did you bleed the master before installing it?
Master sits at a steep angle, so you must bleed it BEFORE installing it, or air just sits inside the end
Did you replace the hydraulic line from master to slave, new master usually comes with it attached.
