Clutch slave cylinder bleed nipple

Hi All, My first post so thanks for any help. I need to bleed the clutch on a 2013 ranger. its a concentric slave in the bell housing. Anyone tell me how this type of bleed nipple works? You can't turn it as there is a lug (sorry not in photo). I've read you take the metal clip off and pull it out. don't want to do anything until I have a better idea as its awkward to reach and I will end up covered in fluid ! Thanks. .
