Clutch Slip or Slave Cyl Probs?

Hey everyone, I've spent an hour or so in the search bar looking to see if anyone has had this problem and I saw a few different people lightly explain small traces of what I dealt with today. My 93 2wd 2.3l 5 speed has never had an issue as to shifting or starting or stopping, always seemed to be in very good shape as it only has just over 140k miles on it, but it has very slowly leaked clutch fluid, and I keep it in check. I went to work, everything working great, cold outside (35 degrees is cold to me here), and got there fine. Went to leave, I let the truck idle for a few minutes before i took off since it dropped below freezing since I had been working. Pulled out of the parking area and got down the road, no problems whatsoever. Got on the main road and made it through the first four gears without an issue. Shifted to 5th and nothing, the engine picked up revs of course since I wasn't expecting it and trying to drive, so I downshifted and the same. Brought the truck to a stop and tried taking off, I can let the pedal out, feel the truck want to roll, but when its let out completely it doesn't, and the truck only dies out just barely in first with the clutch let out. Its not shown any signs of slipping, I would assume if I were to hit water or something it wouldn't freeze the release bearing instantly, and it had the slow leak to start with. Could it just be a slave (not insanely sure how this system works, I usually do my own work but this is the first vehicle there hasn't been a cylinder for the clutch at the firewall, just a small container that sits on the hose for the clutch fluid) or the clutch itself? I would greatly appreciate any input to help me understand this system.
Thanks
