need input: Project coming soon

1 Ton Ranger Project scratchboard
i finally scored a source of income and was looking into doing a total tear down of the ranger.
Project 1-ton Red Ranger
The Heart will be a Cummins 4bt
i want to do the 4bt cause its unique and i bet everyone is tired of everyone having a 5.0 and want to see something different.
besides who doesnt want 24mpg with 35+ tires?
Im gonna find at least a dana 60 front as for the rear axle its so far going to be a 14 Bolt
height maybe go 4 more inches than now so i can properly flex the 38s
give or take somewhere in the 300 range
anyone know what type of springs i should run?
superduty might be to stiff.
it will be locked in the rear and ls in the front most likely
it will most likely stay my daily driver after im done with it.
Yes i do know and understand what kind of work is going to be involved in this and im basically ready and just biding my time, so i can tackle this smartly and make sure i have a good rig and not crap.
This is within the year and wont happen within the week but i would like some input.
I want this thing to flex like a mother but still keep good calm nature on the highway maybe at least 60mph
after i save a quick buck i'll purchase a cheap diesel to town it around and finally retire it from street duty.
Engine: Cummins 4bt (source a fedex or breadvan)
Tranny: need help with that maybe something standard
Transfer Case: Ford NP205
Gearing: 4.56?
Axles: Dana 60 and FF14Bolt
Tires: 38 inch TSLS? maybe even grapplers once again
Wheels: maybe something 16 inch or 16.5

Theres a dana 60 front and rear out of a late 70's f25 on EelBay goin for a few hundred. Im not sure if you would need to shorten the axle tho.
As far as tranny I would look to the NV4500 or the ford small block ZF. I believe both of them will bolt to the np205. When you source your engine the adapter on it will be a deciding factor. Keep in mind this engine is nearly identical to the 6bt in dodge fullsize diesels. So transmissions and tcase for these trucks should be the easiest to swap.
I have recently started to look into this, my budget seemed to grow to over 10k rather quickly. Got a little overwhelming.

There is a ranger on pirate that did the build but as of now he has problems doing 60+ due to some serious death wobble.
yea thats what i had in mind for a tranny it will have overdrive too.
i have no bills as of now, and i dont have to pay for my apartment so im doing saving.
im going to purchase the FF 14 this month then.

sounds cool, i will try to run them full width but if one is longer than the other i'll reduce one and keep one the same.
engine weighs about 700 pounds
thats about 150 more than a 351w so im gonna base the front coils on that.
can full size bronco coils fit within a ranger?
i was thinking maybe 4 inch super flex coils.
that will raise a ranger like what to like 8 inches?

Caster angle and "death wobble" are related. Proper steering/suspension geometry are critical for safety.
If you leave the 4bt stock then the 44 should survive, but with little moding you can get into the 400-500 tq range. Im not sure how much the 44 can take at that point.

The soft mud may play a role in how the truck looks like it rides.

Rock Crawlers 3 1/2" Coil Springs Pair

Rock Crawlers 3 1/2" Coil Springs Pair
When rock crawling was beginning to grow in popularity, most of the Bronco coil springs on the market where a linear rate design with very heavy spring rates. The bar size was so large that the springs barely fit the coil cups. What you had was a stiff, non-flexible coil with a ride that would jar the fillings out of your teeth. It became obvious to us that we needed something different, so we designed and developed the ground breaking Rock Crawler coil line. At that time, the Rock Crawlers were the softest coil you could buy for the EB. These days you can get coils so soft that you can't hardly go around a street corner without body roll that makes your Bronco resemble a boat in the water. In contrast, the Rock Crawler coils are completely compatible with daily driving and off-road terrain from coast to coast. Since their introduction, we have received overwhelming positive feedback from Rock Crawler users. The 5.5" Rock Crawler coils are available in Red, Blue, Yellow, and Black. The 3.5" and 4.5" Rock Crawlers are available in Red and Black.
