Does anyone know what this is?



It came from my 5r55e Transmission when I drained it. Also found part of the brake band...Intermediate or over drive?.?.?.



Rebuild or New?

I'd say rebuild it. Almost always cheaper.

So the top picture is of the brake band stablizer and holds the band in place. There looks to be a rod like thing that goes in the round area. I am going to rebuild I think and save some money. Depends if there is any more damage.
