Expo Shaft

So I'm in the middle of getting regeared and locked, swapping leaf springs and replacing the rear brakes in general... Now it's time for that front shaft..

I can't get a hold of Shane ATM, but I was wondering what year explorers have the double cardon shaft... IIRC it's 95-97, but is it only the 4.0L Expo's that have that shaft? Or did the 5.0L's have those as well...

Anything helps, as I'll be heading to the yards this weekend for a rear diff cover (mine got hammered from the carnage of the torsen) and a front Expo shaft, so I just need to know exactly what I'm looking for!

Thanks!

95-96. Not sure if the 5.0 makes a difference or not.

Thanks Ryan... I'm on the lookout on CL for now, since most of the yards around me are now closed yards, kinda sucks!

It was 1/3 off at the yards last weekend, otherwise it would have been $38 lol...

aka when LKQ owned the yards still, it woulda been $28 NORMAL PRICE. Arseholes sellin' their yards. I miss my Damascus yard 5 minutes away that ALWAYS had AWESOME RBV's.

Keep in mind, Trevor installed a 90-97 1354M, so he can just run a 95-96(97?) Explorer shaft and be totally good to go. If you end up running a manual case, all you gotta do is find a XJ or TTB Ranger/Expo or 95-96(97?) Expo shaft and it'll bolt up to the case adaptorless. I don't know if you're gonna run the stock case or what your whole plan is or whatever.

I know you're sas'd and HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE, but you do need the adaptor and that custom shaft however it's done for your ap.

https://www.ranger-forums.com/f37/fr...veshaft-73188/ is the main SL front shaft thread and right here's the link Beard posted in it to the correct 6-bolt to 1310 adaptor: Parts
