'05 2WD Edge Front End Cracking Noise
Been having issues with a metal cracking noise when I brake and turn at the same time ever since I replaced the brakes on the truck.
When I did the brakes the wheel bearings looked and felt fine so I packed them with some more Wheel Bearing grease and stuck them back in. About a month later the noise started. I just replaced the bearings last night with all new Inner and Outer PTC Bearings/Races and Seals. Noise is gone when I'm on the brakes and turning.
This morning I had a doctors appointment and was on my way there from work when I started hearing a banging noise when I hit a bump. When I got off the 80 KM/H road on back onto the 50 KM/H road it wasn't as bad, but when I stopped for the lights the Noise was back when I was just about to stop doing maybe 1-5 KM/H in a straight line! No turning noise though!
I've about had enough with this problem cause I miss driving my truck daily.. Any suggestions before I get raped at Ford?
