I searched through a few threads and only found one reply that somewhat answers my question. I am looking for those of you that have had Ford replace the pinion seal. I simply do not have the time to do it, nor do I really want to do it. It has just started leaking enough to actually drip on the floor once or twice. However, I noticed it leaking about 4 months ago. I saw a price where someone said the range was $150.00 - $250.00. Has anyone actually had Ford repair this, if so, how much did it cost?

I have had ford do 3 pinion seals on my front axle it was $150 ish plus tax and the other 2 times they did it wrong and fixed in under warranty.

I had Ford do it. $100 flat but i knew the ford mechanic. No problems, that i know of.

 

I just called my local dealer. A gentleman there told me it would run anywhere from $135.00 to $150.00.
