FRont end noise when turning

Anyone ever had this problem.....First off I do have AVM hubs on my truck and when I am unlocked in 2wd I get a bad hum when I turn corners. With the hubs locked in I dont get any noise.I was thinking I was having another wheel bearing going out but both sides have less than 11k on them but today I was out wheelin and drove home with the hubs locked in and the noise was not there so that kinda rules out the bearing I would think.Could it be in the AVM's?

Sounds like wheel bearings to me.

Jack the truck up and see if you can move the tire up and down by hand.
If theres a lot if play its the wheel bearings.

When they get really bad the tire will be leaning in at the top to the point of rubbing the rotor on the caliper bracket.

Just checked that a few days ago and they are tight. The driver side bearing has a little over 10k on it and the passenger side has less than 4k on it.

Were the needle bearings the half shafts ride on greased?

Come to think of it ,the driver side is the one making the most noise. When I did that side I had a friend help me do it and he put that bearing on while I was greasing the driveshaft slip yoke.I asked him if he greased the needle bearings in there and he paused and said yes but the look on his face said no but I gave him the benefit of the doubt.I had a feeling he didnt but didnt want to say since it would mean taking it all apart again. But I remembered seeing some grease on the bearing in the box so I thought all would be ok either way.

The wheel bearings come with a some grease but the do need grease added to it.

If you have any doubts I would pull it apart.
