I notice a little shimmy when it shifts from 3 to od when taking off easy on the gas, if i floor it all is good, its really annoying, would a programmer fix this? It is a 5r55e transmission, no codes or anything and only has 60k on it.

 

my best guess would be the torque converter disengaging... you will definantly feel a bump, jolt, or shimmy when this occurs. Now depending on how rough or hard it is, (my knowledge is limited on that subject) there could or could not be a problem... hope that helps.

 

if it is shifting from 3rd to OD you have more problems than you think...you should be shifting from 4th to OD

if you are feeling a shutter when the converter locks, the converter could be bad
