Fusion Transmission

Anyone point me in the right direction for transmission help on a 07 fusion (4cyl) auto?

The oil needs changing and need some info on how to do it and whats involved. Found a fusion forum but the guys there seem to be all knuckleheads and tell me to pay ford to change it. Ford wants $250 the change and I figure I could change it cheaper.

Eta: Its my wifes car so if it breaks she gets to drive my ranger and thats why I posted here:biggrin:

those are the cvt trannys. . .from what ive learned you dont need to change the fluid till 150k or something like that, btw i have an 06 4cyl fusion as well, with about 80k on it haha

yeah but the oil is getting real dark

i thought the cvt trannies were just on the 6 cylinder models?

dont know much about cvt transmissions but you can feel this car shift gears. I thought cvt you couldn't notice gear changing so to speak

i think its just a smoother shift, not so much that you dont feel it.

CVT stands for continiously variable transmission, it doesnt shift at all
