FX4 Rear end questions.

I am looking at getting an fx4 rear end. I found one at a JY for 350. Is it worth that much? Do I need the blocks for the rear because its a thicker axle tube? They're giving me the U bolts...

Explorer rear is a 31 spline like the FX4 diff. Those are everywhere too.
