gear oil question

My truck calls for 80W-90 in the front and back. Can I run synthetic or would that have a negative effect on the limited slip?

i run Lucas in both front and rear. no issues here. also with the Lucas you don't need to run an additive for the LS, same with amsoil.

i just got my tranny serviced and new clutch , and when i ask about fluid,, they said ATF and even wrote it on trannny for mechanicmm on tranny and on gear box,.

said the components inside are aluminium and neeed thinner fluid than gear oil.

just my 2 cents, and i hope it was right,,lol
