Hell yeah! Spec Stage 2 & Rebuilt Transmission = Kickarse!

So, finally had the cash to get my transmission rebuilt at a shop over in Gresham, OR; Billy got to see my truck out there in its worked-on-stage.. Payed $800 for a full rebuild, including installing my Spec Stage 2 Clutch Kit, Slave/Master Cylinders, and all the shifter restoration crap that they do so it shifts smoothly.

Yeah, It feels like freakin silk now; the clutch holds like nothing else.. good amount of slip for when you need it.. and this is with me babying it until I can get it broken in at 500+ miles before I feel like really testing it out.

No pictures of it sadly, as I didnt have time to come in and snap any pictures of it being installed; but needless to say, if you are running a manual transmission, I would look into getting something done like this.. its a night and day difference!!!

Nice man. Nothing is better then a smooth shifting manual

HAHA..SWEEEET!! I saw it at Gtown transmssion over there at melvin's shop. good to hear everything was put in.

What did just the trans rebuild run?? I've got that stock '01 i want to rebuild and throw in next time i gotta drop the trans...much better gear ratios than the 07 trans i've got in the truck right now.

$750 straight, the only reason he charged 800 is because he had a ***** of a time trying to bleed the clutch properly; was being stubborn so I tipped him agood one.. msotly because he installs the clutch kit and extra's for free if you have them :-D

Do it man, trust me.. you wont regret it! Only takes a day and a half for them to finish it up!!

i think i might stop by on monday and tell him the problems with my trans and maybe it dont need a full rebuild...i'd rather fix it than spend $750 to rebuilt it when only 2nd gear shift rails are messed up. lol.

how you liking the clutch? you need to stop by so i can drive it. lol. it'll be weird driving 4.10s and 33's again. lol.

oh..and melvin's the sh!t. that bastard is one fuggin' halarous guy to talk and bs with! Gresham Transmission right?

shifter resto crap?? what all does that include??? Might be something I need to look into on my 95 as sometimes it is a BEAR to pull into gear..

does your shifter feel super sloppy??? there's rebuild kits for that pivot ball for the shifter...tightens it up.

has NOTHING to do with being hard to get into gear....that's a slave or master issue....

Yep, was Melvin that did the work on it! Todl him I had my gear on the passenger side seat, and give ma a call if anythign happens.. went off good, only took a day and a half.

I figure, the $750 is worth it; its cheaper then pullin out a used tranny, not knowing what needs done to it, and forcing yourself to clean and rebuild it to make sure it runs right.

I'll try to get out there sometime.. the truck really picks up and goes though, lovin it! :-D
