Stupid Skid
alright, i know this is a problem with pretty much all the rangers that have the one piece DS and the gas tank skid plate.
When ever i tuck the driverside rear tire the driveshaft rubs and makes a horrible noise. i took it off, trimmed the plate then when i was up on that RTI ramp a few months ago people told me it was rubbing on the mounting bracket that goes from the plate to the frame...
it never was a problem before the RCD lift but now it rubs EVERYTIME
does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? i've tried the BFH method but that didnt work too well

i had the same problem stock even ... it did get worse with the rcd ... i trimmed it and it helped but like you said it still rubs, it just didnt make that horrible sound ... only thing i can think of is get a fuel cell and remove the tank all together if it bothers you that much ... i dont think there is any room to move it closer to the driver side frame rail ...

yea, but i have no resources to do that right now.. and if anything now its not going to be straing so it'll be weaker..
if i have a smaller diameter one made then i will have it made with thicker walls too
plus what his face said it rubbed on his gas tank.. if thats the case i want to leave that bracket there so save the tank haha
