Help me find some wheel bearings...

I really need to replace the front wheel bearings/hubs on my truck. This weekends offroading trip made me realize how bad they've gotten.

I've looked at a couple of places but these things are EXPENSIVE! Rockauto lists them for $274 each. I don't really want to pay that much, but I don't want some cheap *** china units either. I want high quality Timken bearings, but don't really wanna pay Ford's premium prices, I will if I have to but I was wondering if anyone knew a cheaper place to get the GOOD hubs.

Well thanks for that bit of info.

If I look at the Timken unit listed for a 2005 FX4 its is actually $118 for the one I need. I wonder why they don't list that unit for the 2003 entry.....

The BCA/National brand listed for the '03 costs $274, Whats the difference in it and the Timken unit that its needs to cost that much more?

Couldn't tell you why they are different.

I'd go w/ the one for 118 and call it a day :)

I believe I looked up the one for an 03 and it came up as Timken $118...it is universal to all late model RBV though.

Be careful with the years if you still have ABS. The ABS sensors that come with new hub/bearings wont work from 01-03 to 04+.

Make sure to get your correct year or the ABS will shut itself down and the light in the cluster will be on.
