HELP QUICK: Clunking/Grinding/popping
Update on rear-end and some pics...
Ok I know the title is not very helpful but I honestly dont know whats wrong. I'm leading toward the rear-end going out though. I was driving along and all of the sudden there was a loud pop and then clanking. Now my clutch feel exactly thame, truck starts the same, everything. Every gear feels the same, doesnt try to push out of gear or anything. Problem is I can be coasting along(in neutral) and it will start to grind and or clunk and has even stalled it out. Motor runs the same just it grind and clunks when im driving or coasting. If you need some more info please ask I really dont know what else to say.. thanks

Do they make a 4:10 limited slip for the 7.5 rear?

Wow... well I will need to talk to my buddy's dad and see what he thinks of it. He usually just tries to go and getg things back to stock... I only have like 800 to spend and I think labor will be pretty much free...

Yeah that sucks... It will probably be fixed this weekend or early next week.
Will I be able to get an 8.8 with LS and 4.10 for adecent price at the junk yard? What should I expect?
I looked around at 8.8's and they ask if I have 9-10" brakes? Which should I look for?

I am scavenging some brake parts off it. It has the larger 10" brakes, but it will need the wheel cylinders, new shoes, and adjusters. All told, you'll spend $50 to $100 to make it complete with the brakes -- or I think you can just bolt your old brakes onto it. Not sure.
Make me an offer I can't refuse!
