Hub Nut/Front bearing retaining nut?

for Gen 3's (93-97), do they all have the common problem of working themselves loose and backing off? If so, is there any cure to this?

because tonight I went to replace a TRE and upper BJ, as well is new wheel bearings, as per the alignment shop telling me needed to be done before tehy could align, due to play.. well after tightening the nut on each side, there was absolutely NO play in anything..

thanks!

I think the bearing nut isn't supposed to not be super tight?

ya I know..but just to keep it from backing off.. cuz it was like 1 or 2 threads away from being just snug...and it was giving me MAD play in the wheel when i had it jacked up.. now it's fine though.. but I just wanna keep that nut from backing off like that again..cuz I don't wanna keep checking it every week or so..

I have had the same issue. It keeps loosening. Threadlock sounds like a good idea. Of course a non-permanent one.
