Redneckstone 05-19-2007 10:08 AM

no thats for Pulse vacumm hubs

lifted97ranger 05-19-2007 10:26 AM

no because they will not fit on your truck period with the live axle....

shadow905 05-19-2007 11:41 AM

can someone point me in the right direction for some hubs that will work with my truck?

RazorsEDGE 05-19-2007 11:53 AM

I don't believe you can get manual hubs for your truck since its a live axle.

its located in your local pep boys in the asle with the muffler bearings...

jasonsfx4 05-19-2007 04:42 PM

lol thats funny! muffler bearings or blinker fluid. i had a guy come in the shop one day asking for blinker fluid bc one was empty and the other was only 1/2 full..

shadow905 05-19-2007 04:47 PM

ha....ok im not that dumb. just dont know anything about axles. lmao

Not completely true.

He can swap the wheel bearings and half shafts to run a PVH setup.

If you can go from PVH to live axle, then you can go live axle to PVH.

Its going to cost about the same 600 ish for new parts PLUS the AVM's.

zabeard 05-19-2007 08:21 PM

just stick with the live axle..

gearhead299 05-19-2007 08:53 PM

ok my turn, will they work on my 98 4x4? my 4 wheel drive stopped working a couple weeks ago and everyone i've talked to says the problem is my pulse vacuum hubs, one guy showed me a how to for locking them alltogether, but i think it would be better to switch to manual locking hubs, also does warn make manual hubs for my truck?

shadow905 05-20-2007 12:30 AM

im NOT switching to pvh. im sticking with my live axle. but my question is....if i put the locker in there.....what will my street driving be like?

lifted97ranger 05-20-2007 09:29 AM

should still be about the same.....you will just hear a clicking when going around corners...

shadow905 05-20-2007 09:31 AM

yea i was told that it would click like that. thats why i needed hubs. am i correct in saying thats the purpose of the hubs?

lifted97ranger 05-20-2007 09:32 AM

no the purpose of the hubs would be to unlock the axle.....you don't need hubs....there are plenty of members who are running lockers in their live axle...

shadow905 05-20-2007 09:43 AM

sweet....then since i dont have to buy hubs....can anyone recommend a good locker? the aussie that matt showed me is a good price. what is the top of the line locker and on down?
