I need a new front driveshaft...
Like the title says, I need a new front driveshaft.
It is clicking whenever I drive and I figure I should fix it before it breaks because I'm pretty sure I'm going to need it.
I dont want to get the superlift one because I figure I can get it cheaper custom.
The question is, I dont know what I need.
All I have is the RCD lift on so if you guys can tell me what I need that would be great.
Also where would be a good place to order it from.
I already have someone who can help me replace it, I just need to order a new one made to work with the lift.
Specifically measurements, demensions, specs, etc. would be great.
Thanks...

take measurements yourself for the truck.. take off the old one and measure.. get a double carnagin (sp?) joint on it and slip joint.. open the phone book and start calling...
take in the old one so they can match up the flange and or use it..

No one will be able to custom make one because of the flange style on the t-case side. Neapco made an adapter at one point in time, but as far as I know they discontinued it and even if you are able to locate one they cost well over a hundred bucks. Then on top of that you'd more then likely have to have the shaft that you attach the adapter to customized for proper length. A couple of people have made one-off custom adapters, but you'd have to have access to a machine shop and CNC skills.
Your best bet is gonna be the superlift shaft unless you can locate one of the guys that made the custom adapter and con them into making you one.
Now if it wasn't for that stupid CV style flange Ford decided to use, a custom shaft would be much easier.
