Inner Tie Rod ?

'm going to be changing my inner tie rods tomorrow and was going to do the loan-a-tool from Autozone for the inner tie rod remover. I figured it's free and it would make it easier. The guy at autozone wasn't sure if it would work with my truck though. Can anyone confirm if it will or not?

2004 Ford Ranger XLT. 3.0 v6 with coil springs, no torsion bar.

I know I can use a wrench, but i'd rather it take 15 seconds instead of 15 minutes.

didn't work on my 99's motorcraft rods, the opening was too small to fit over it. I just bought my own kit. it was cheap enough and has different size attachments. some autozones have an updated tool so it may work idk

Ive never been able to rent one that worked. I just use a crescent wrench.

Crescent wrench does the job just fine.
