Probably about 15 minutes to package it and mail it to me haha

I would say something like 8 hrs to pull the axle , install and put it back in

Yeah 11 hours sounds about right for the dealer to charge.

just the torsen, you will be first person on here that is going to put one in that I know of. I've been wanting a L/S for the front for a long time and it finally has come out. Get it one day maybe

That's pricey enough but I was actually kind of expecting it to be more to get it up here. I deal with a couple driveline places at work, I should check with them and see what I can pick it up for once it's more of a mainstream thing in the system.

my only question then, is is it worth the drawbacks of the live axle/spool(ish) front end issue?

i'll let you kno,but theTorsen LSD's (mechanical / gear type) offer better cornering becuase they can still allow for the inside wheel to turn less and shift power to the outside wheel,The Torsen works as an open differential when the amount of torque going to each wheel is equal. As soon as one wheel starts to lose traction, the difference in torque causes the gears in the Torsen differential to bind together. The design of the gears in the differential determines the torque bias ratio. For instance, if a particular Torsen differential is designed with a 5:1 bias ratio, it is capable of applying up to five times more torque to the wheel that has good traction.

Have you thought about dropping the diff yourself to save some labour time? It's a straightforward job to do, just more time consuming.
