a little clutch question

My buddy has a 97 ford explorer sport 4.0 with a brand new clutch that he is parting out due to tranny problems. My question is would his clutch fit in my 02 4.0? Thanks guys

Just looked at Centerforce Clutches website and no it will not work. Explorer has a 10'' disc and Ranger has 10 1/8'' disc.
