I've been searching for a how to on swapping out an axle assembly. I am replacing my rearend (4.10s, 31 spline, 8.8) with the same thing. Just wondering if anyone ever did a write up on this, looking for some steps to follow.

 

Should be *roughly* as simple as:

* Unbolt Driveshaft
* Remove all brake and vacuum hoses
* Jack truck up and remove the leaf springs + shocks
* Roll the axle out - reverse steps, and button her up!

 

That's what I figured, just wondering if anybody had done a nice write up on it. I"ll be taking pics and posting when I am done. Can't wait to see the inside of this thing.
