Manual Hubs
Manual Hubs
I got my new Rugged Ridge manual locking 4x4 hubs today! I am just so excited I had to tell someone so you all get to hear about it. The reason I went with manual hubs is because a few weeks back I lost my front driver side wheel on the highway (long story). When I lost the wheel it took my hub with it. I went to the stealership and they want $160 for one hub and I got my new ones for $150 for the pair so I went with manuals. I think I made the right choice because now I have 2wd low range along with more reliable hubs, I have had a lot of problems with the autos. So what do you guys think?
Hey man I've been lookin around and I can't find any newer than 2000. I don't think you can mod your axle to fit different hubs, personally if I couldn't find em I would just leave it how it is.
It shouldn't be too bad, plus I've got a few tow straps if you get high-centered. I should also mention that it's not nearly as bad without the snow and ice, you should definitely check it out. I'm home just about every day after 6 if you ever want to give it a shot.
Oh another question , ok so my front left bearing id goin , and i priced out a hub at my brothers shop, and he can get me an abs hub for 300 at his cost , but do i need an abs hub , or can i just get a normal hub , oh and i disconnected my abs i cant stand that ****
hey i have a manual hub ? and i cant figure how to start my own thread. i just got a couple warn manual hubs from a salvage yard and i dont think they are both working right. one turns freely in the free position and the other seems to be locked in both positions. which one of these is broken? and can they be repaired?
