To all you kiddies with greaseable joints....
Don't forget to pump a gob of grease in 'em every once in a while!!
Dont be like me and put in a new spicer rear u-joint in the truck, never pump grease in it for 30k, then you hear the hollow high pitched squeek of a bad joint less than a year later. lol. I was scared to death it was the Aussie Locker.....nope...was just a U-joint.
This is sweeeet....

what kind of squeeks cause bad u-joints.
I made a post on here, when accelrating and hitting 40 mph, i get a loud humming/moaning/rumbling noise from underneath truck and vibration, and if i let off the gas pedal, it sounds worse. and in neutral coating 40 to stops, it is loud and scary til 30 mph.

I've got 102k on the rear shaft front joint. I'm on rear shaft rear joint #2 right now. I dont know why they go but whatever.
My experience....letting out the clutch from a stop, you hear a high pitched hollow sounded squeel....it's not a squeel, it's a chirp. it'll also do it up to 3rd gear traveling down the road.....and only when the engine is putting down power or is under load.

You guys are wimps, mine have 190k.
Hm, My whining noise doesn't sound like you described.
It just whines when your rolling down the street with or without the clutch, above 30 its gone. It WAS really noisy there for a while, now its quiet down quite a bit, I'm not sure if thats good or not though.

i went threw about 5 sets on my XLT and it wasn't lifted... so ya don't think so most people get "so much" out of them because there not smart enough to recognize the symptoms of it. they think its like unbalanced tires most the time...
