I have a 2010 ranger 4x4 xlt 4.0 and the of light is flashing. I was told I needed a new speed sensor but is that really the problem from what I’ve been reading it’s not. I have the new speed sensor but can’t locate where it goes can anyone give me some suggestions?

 

Nope, probably not the problem. You need to find somebody with an advanced level scanner who can read the transmission code that is set in the computer. Autozone/Advance/O'Reilly/Checkers type scanners can't do it. Some transmission shops will scan it for free, you just need to call around and see who will.
