-updated 5R55E Valve body with new shift solenoids and 2 shift kits built to order.
-new pan magnet

As a side note not all the items listed above come with the kit, but they are added options if you prefer to have them

it is best to do it BEFORE it begins to fail!

04 EDGE 10-03-2007 08:56 PM

thats just a superior products shift correction package already installed in the valve body. the torque converter is interesting. more info on it please

its not "just" a superior kit, plus not all of the superior kit will work with this valve body. I have spent years researching and trial and error to make this kit worth selling. dont guess at what you see. what would you like to know about the converter?

hummmm....any reason by chance? how well would this work with the shift pressures set up by the X2?

as soon as Beard gets back to me on the install, i might be buying.....shoot, i bet i could get him to help me install it:006:

This kit works perfectly with the base settings in the X-cal 2. I wouldnt recommend upping the pressures too much though.

If your transmission begins to fail before you install this, your clutches and bands may already be burnt resulting in less than expected results from this kit.

whats so different about the valve body?

whats the stall RPM on the converter, and tell me about the lock-up clutch?

i can get a "fleet" converter that is VERY heavy duty for just over 200, the shift correction package is 40 bucks, the fluid additive is 10 bucks.

i know the owner of a trans parts warehouse.

ok, just looking out for fellow members thats all.

i am not a "know it all ASE tech" i keep an open mind, but have been inside many of these transmissions.

i think i told zach a while back that i could get him parts like these and even do the work for him

everyone trys to make money, i do it everyday at work so i understand why you mark the price up so high.

not worth my time.

graniteguy 10-03-2007 10:28 PM

I'll be interested in hearing zachs comments on it.

I don't hear much about torque convertor swaps on these forums. Its kind of odd that we don't.

I have met nick, and have seen his work. Nick is not going to post some junk parts that you could get for $40 a the local autocure and sell them for $500.

From what I have seen and heard, he has tested and made sure all the parts are quality and perform very well.

IMO you get what you pay for.

$40 in parts will get ya threw the winter

$500 parts will last a life time

I know the FFV 3.0 Rangers have a torque converter with a high stall speed. Or I think I did, now I'm not so sure where I learned that.

Ill make sure to follow up. There are a few things that could make my results not as good as others. For one i could have some other issues with the transmission, we are guessing its low line pressure, if not then most of this kit is not going to help my trans. If its clutches then i will drop the tranny again buy a rebuilt one and swap all these parts over to the rebuilt one.

I am rather excited myself. Should be dropping the tranny out Friday night i hope.
