That pesky O/D light and P0741 code

My ranger is shifting slightly delayed. It seems to just hang longer than it should but eventually does. Any ideas on trouble shooting this problem? I tried replacing the TCC solenoid but that didn't seem to fix it. I did notice the seal that connects the driveshaft to the transmission is leaking. Could that be it? Is it the valve body or torque converter? Would it be best to take it to a shop?

Your best bet is to take it to the shop. If replacing the TCC solenoid didn't fix the issue, that means the torque converter isn't locking up properly. That's not generally something you can fix at home without tearing into the transmission.
