i noticed my 4wd wasnt workin, i was stuck in the snow so i peaked underneath and come to find the front driveshaft spins but half-shafts dont. not positive as to what broke but any advice is appreciated.

yeah its the front diff. if i put it in 4wd right now both driveshafts turn but i only get power to the rear. the weird thing is that there is no clatter, sounds, knocking, etc. the front shaft will just spin with no effect on anything

 

Thats weird, I've broke em but they've made all kinds of racket or just locked up.

 

im in the need for my 4wd right now (broke the day after i got 12.5 in. of snow here) what was it that broke on urs. ring and pinion, spider-gears, stripped gears???
