Posi/Limited Slip find....

Hey guys,

I found this used LS posi for my 8.8 28 spline rear end. Is this a good deal?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...3A1|240%3A1318

I'm trying to track down some kind of LS for my rear end. The rear end is off an 04 edge so I'm not running the stock 7.5 that originally came with my truck.

Thanks!

I'd skip all of that and buy a locker.

Well my wallet is low right now and I am really on a budget. I just want something to somewhat help my tires spin in sync when wheelin. Nothing too hardcore. All the lockers and **** are $400+

I know on e-bay motors there is a 15% off coupon floating around, that should help the wallet.

I might be able to afford $200, think you could help link me? I gotta stay in my budget or I'd get a locker.

I can one tire fire my L/S. Just save money for a Powertrax. I'm telling you it will be worth it in the long run.

ive heard that an open and a lsd are just as useless and ive also heard a lsd is awsome... i dont have any personal experience w. then... so in your guys opinion on a scal or 1-10 and open diff being a 0 and a posi/locker being a 10... where does a lsd stand??

Gumby was selling a used one for cheap. New they are like $450 depending where you look.

I say LSD is 5-7 for street depending on how good it is and like 1 for offroad. If I get one rear tire off of the ground my truck stops moving. If I take a really tight corner on the street and smash on the gas my truck will one tire fire up the hill even after I straighten out.

They don't really for offroading. Why do you have to get in now anyway?

Yeah. The L/S has nothing to do with what gear or 4wd mode you are in. It will act the same way all the time.
