Auto or manual? Do you want it to perform well?

4.10's should be fine. With the 3.slow and the auto, I would maybe consider 4.56.

I'm running 32's with auto and 4.10's and I have plenty of gear and still get good mpg(thanks to a programmer) Which I am sure also helps while running 4.10's. I'd get a programmer and run 4.10's.

What would you consider a performance plug??? or a hotter plug.

Cause i have seen plugs give 5 - 10 hp on some show on the auto channel.

And about those gears.. what does it do? higher accel and worse mpg?

can you regear a 7.5, or is it just worth finding a 8.8 out of a junkyard?

if you arent making an offroad truck and you want decent MPG stay with 3.73. If you do want to take it off road sometimes go 4.10, if you are making it a beast 4.56

04 edge is right, If the truck is sluggish then its having to work harder to keep the engine speed up. 3.0s like mid ranger rpm, if you are 2wd look at maybe 4.30s, i been thinking hard about them but since im upgrading to 33s one day. 4.56s are my bet but im a 4 banger.

Those ones up your RPM's at the same speed.. so say your at like

2500 rpm - 373 then you get
2750 2800 rpm - 410
3000 rpm - 456

not sure on accuracy of the number but its the idea that counts.
