problems in 4 low

Every time i put my truck in 4 low and try to go up a hill it comes out of gear. It doesnt do this in 2 wheel or 4 high. any help would be great.

this is straight out the hayes manual for noisy or jumps out of 4wheel drive low range.shift linkage loose,worn or binding,shift fork cracked,inserts worn or fork binding on the rail .hope that helps
