quick man. hub question on 91 ranger

quick man. hub question on 91 ranger
i just got doing my auto to man. hub conversion on my 91 ranger. everything works great now but i noticed that when i lock the hubs in their locked in the free position and when their in 4x4 they spin kind of easy about 1/4 turn. arent they supposed to lock in the 4x4 position?
