I have a Ranger Edge 2001. The 4 wheel drive won't engage. I have pulled the Tranfer case motor off and it tests good with a battery. The dash lights don't light up and there is no noise from the transfer case motor once it was reinstalled. What should I check next.?

 

maybe the switch in the dash

 

Does any one know how to test the Dash switch, before I spend $44 for a new one?
