Rear End Gear Swap

Im doing a 4.56 gear swap for the 3.73 thats in it, and i was windering if anybidy knows what the backlash should be set at because ive heard different settings but which should have best results with 33in tires

Three weeks ago, did you get it done ?

My first guess is that each set of gears is a little different.
Some manufacturers like it tighter than other.

Contact the manufacturer of the gears and see what they suggest.

Are the gears new, are all of the install components new, i.e. bearings, shims, crush sleeve ?

Usually the gears you bought will tell you, if not take a look on yukon's site. YOu want the same backlash for a specific axle not really the gear size.
