replacing cv axle

replacing cv axle

i missed up my cv axle the other day playing around in the mud, and i'm putting a new one in and this new to me, what do i need to do to replace it? this is the first time putting in a cv axle, and is there anything i need to do after i put a new one in? any help would be nice

assuming you know the basic concepts of the suspension and using jackstands and tools and such, its really simple. youll need a 32mm socket to undo the axle hub nut. then undo the spindle from the upper control arm and undo the TRE from the spindle also allowing the spindle to fall outward. youll then be able to pull the cv axle out of the hub and it should just pop right out of the diff. install in reverse order.
