Serious Problem - Rear wheels locked

My truck has been sitting for around a month or so. I tried to drive it today and the rear wheels are plain locked...they just won't turn and all I managed was some burned rubber...the right rear seems to spin but the left rear is locked. I guessing the brake shoes have frozen. I was going to take a hammer to it and try to knock it loose. Any other ideas?

take out the inspection plug and back the star wheel adjuster off, pull the drums, and clean 'em up!

The brakes are probably rusted to the drums
