Shift cable too tight

Hey guys, so my truck has been harder and harder to get to shift into park lately. When I try to park, lots of times I can feel it try and grab but it's just missing. I know because I'll try and shift into park and as I roll backwards i hear it. I looked underneath when I took it to my mechanic and he showed me the shift cable and it's super tight and needs more slack to get into park. He suggested maybe finding a longer shift cable. Is there any way to adjust it so I can give it more slack? Or do I need a longer cable. I have a 3 inch body lift, maxed torsion bars and a 2 inch aal.

Did you do anything to the shift cable when you did the body lift ?

As 6.2 stated is seems like it should have been done then.

Weird. Maybe it got caught on another wire or hose when you lifted.

Just finished my lift and have no problems with shifting.
