Shifter removal for console install
Shifter removal for console install
Alright I am trying to install my explorer console and I have a manual shifter. I pulled the cupholder up and see where the arm connects and pulled the nut off, but how do I get the threaded screw out, its has no head on it and its pretty thick. Thanks.
Take the nut and attach it to the threads on the other side. Tighten it, and it will pull the bolt out. It's lobe shaped so you may have to jiggle it a bit as you pull on it. Once it comes out, you'll understand what I meant.

Now's a good time for an FX4 shifter
