Having trouble removing 2008 Ranger Manual Transmission
Hi I've spent 3 days trying to remove the manual transmission out of my truck to replace the clutch.
I have everything ready to come out and the transmission supported with a motorcycle jack.
I have 8 mounting bolts out which I thought that was all there was until I looked at a picture and apparently on the newer transmissions they added another one right in the freaking middle of the top of the transmission. So there are 9 total then right?
How do I get to that mounting bolt? There is no clear way. Thank you

I really appreciate the quick responses. It appears you guys have older rangers, and at this point I wish I had one too.
They apparently changed up the transmission sometime in the early 2000's. These are both 2.3 manual transmissions but the one of the left is older and the right one is the newer one like I have.
Some moron sitting at his comfy desk decided it would somehow be an improvement to change the bolt layout and throw one right in the middle at the top. The two I have circled are the ones I'm having trouble getting to, although I may have gotten the one out to the left in that picture but I'm not quite sure.
I have the starter removed and got the bolt to the very right out but there is a mess of wiring and hoses blocking me from getting through that way to that middle bolt.
It actually almost seems hopeless. My only option might be to just start disassembling everything I possibly can starting with dropping the exhaust down, and maybe the headers.
