speedometer sensor

speedometer sensor

anybody know what problems can happen with the speedometer sensor... the gear on it is all meesed up, so i bought a new one, and its not working...any ideas?

i posted this here b/c the sensor is in the back end of the transfer case.....so i figured it might be drivetrain....is threre another is there another topic where is should post this thread?

Try General Technical and Electrical. I'm not sure exactly how it works but I know the PCM can change the speedo, tack and a lot of other stuff.

What year is your truck? Key information. Make a signature describing your basic model and make it easy for yourself and us when you post. The systems changed from generation to generation in terms of sensor type and location.
