Stainless 8.8 bolts

Anyone know where to get them? I know people have mentioned it before, but never where they are at. I also want to make sure they are a common head size, btw I don't know the head size of the stock ones

Are the mustang ones the same? I assume they would be, because I found this http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...ff-Cover-Bolts

I didn't know if the thread counts were different or something

Can't answer your question, but those really would look sweet. Although I'm not sure about $25 for them.

I went to the local ACE hardware with an old bolt, matched up the thread dimensions and got the SS bolts they had. Dont remember how much it was since I did it 4-5 years ago.

I thought about just going to the hardware store too. That would probably be the easiest and cheapest

Thread pitch should be the same, but I agree with the above. Go to a hardware/fastener store and you'll probably get them cheaper!

+1 on going to local hardware store.

My PML cover came with really nice polished stainless allen head bolts and washers, otherwise I would have done the same thing. Ace sells a lot of stainless bolts, but I don't think they sell them polished if that matters to you. They have like a raw brushed gray look.

This is what I did, and recommend.
