Do you want wider and taller, or just taller. If both, a 265 75 16 Is roughly a 31x10.5x16

Will that kill the 4-10s I was thinking 255 70 16, what do you think, they are30.5 inches tall and a little over 10 inches wide, they would not rub would they

I would say they are closer to 32s. I think the conversion is 31.6 or 31.7. Obviously all manufacturers will differ a little bit.

32s will not kill your 4.10s. I ran 265/75r16 on my truck for 5 years with 3.55s. Stock FX4 rangers come with 31x10.5x16 tires and 4.10 gears. If you go with the 265/75r16 you will only be increasing tire size a little bit. Your highway MPG will increase slightly and your city MPG will decrease slightly.

The tires you mentioned will not rub. 265/75r16 is as big as you can go without rubbing. You may have to trim just a little bit, but it will only rub under extreme flexing.

I had a 4.10 with these 265-75-16s for a few years. No problem at all. Still plenty of get up and go with a 3.0. I just regeared to a 4.88 to allow for 35s in the very near future. You have nothing to worry about.

No, it won't rub. I'm running 33's with 4.10's btw. It's slow but it does just fine.
