trans case leaking...HELP!

My T-case is ready to s**t the bed as it is im pretty sure it needs a new drive chain judging by the sound it makes when its put under any kind of load. I see that INT3RC3PTOR has a BW 1354 Elec tcase for sale for $250, im assuming thats whats on mine. That sounds like a good deal any opinions on that?? Secondly...It is now leaking from were the front driveshaft goes into the t-case Ive read in the haynes manual that that t-case must be dropped on 97 and later models just to change this seal. Has anybody ever changed this seal is it not just like a pinion seal with a jesus bolt or do you really have to drop and crack open the t-case to change the seal??
