i thought pulling posi is what people call it when you have a locker in the rear end and both tires turn over. now posi trac is the name for the chevy rear end in their muscle cars that pulled posi.....I think

Posi trac and trac lock etc are different names given to limited slip by different manufacturers.

A locker is a whole nother "ball game".

Look on the tag on your rear diff cover it will tell you what you have

EX: 8 8 4 L 1 0

That means 8.8 with 4.10's and the L is limited slip.

so did you figure out what you got? you can also find it easily by looking at the sticker on the drivers door jam, under axle and getting the 2 digit code. post it here, and we can help ya out more on the axle/locker deal.

a 8.8 and locker in in my future, somewhere, also with 4.56s. my one wheel, 4cyl, 2wd needs all the help it can get , got traction bars already, so this would be my next step.

Getting a locker was the best thing I ever did for the truck offroad-wise, followed closely by the lift and 35's.
