What is this?

Can you guys tell if this is the 8.8? I can get it for $400 shipped to my door. I have a 7.5 right now on 31s and need 4.10s. The guy said its real clean but didnt know if it was 8.8 or 7.5 for some reason. All the junk yards near me all want over five hundred for an 8.8.

it looked like a skewed pic of an 8.8 until i googled it, never seen a 7.5

Yah you should look around locally, check craigslist.org also an explorer 8.8 should be the easiest if you're looking for 31 spline, if you're happy with a 28 spline 8.8 look for one out of a ford ranger, that'll be a hecka easy swap.

Im guessing it is 8.8 cuz LS with 4.10s but not positive. You think it is a worthy buy? I know its not cheap as some of your guy's axle finds but better then what I have found here in central oregon.

I'd look in local junkyards or well internet sites. That doesn't look like a 8.8 for some reason. Find a 8.8 you want and blow the hell out of what yougot.

no they still put the 7.5 in a lot of the trucks, especially all the 2.3 trucks.
